We are recruiting on behalf of a leading social housing provider in Manchester for an experienced Complex Needs Support Worker
.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting adults experiencing homelessness, housing difficulties and multiple complex needs.

The Role

You will provide person-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed support to residents living in supported accommodation.

Your responsibilities as a Complex Needs Support Worker will include:
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with residents.
  • Completing needs and risk assessments.
  • Creating and reviewing personalised support plans.
  • Supporting residents with homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, financial difficulties and other complex needs.
  • Helping residents develop independence, confidence and practical life skills.
  • Supporting residents to access benefits, healthcare, housing and other services.
  • Providing housing advice and helping residents move towards suitable long-term accommodation.
  • Working with local authorities, health services and other agencies.
  • Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
  • Maintaining accurate records and monitoring residents' progress.
  • Supporting residents to engage with their local community and achieve their goals.
About You:
  • Previous experience supporting adults with
    complex needs
    .
  • Experience in supported housing, homelessness, social care or a similar setting.
  • Knowledge of mental health, substance misuse, homelessness and safeguarding.
  • Experience completing assessments and developing support plans.
  • A person-centred and non-judgemental approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Experience working with other agencies and professionals.
  • Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits is desirable.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable.
