Supported Housing Manager - AOP Rise Salary:Competitive Manchester City Permanent / 40 hours per week, flexible working including weekends
This is an exciting new service providing safe accommodation for adult victims and survivors of domestic abuse. Due to the nature of the service, this role is initially open to female applicants only, and we are keen to hear from candidates who are available to start as soon as possible.
What you will be doing:- You will lead and be accountable for delivering the AOP Rise, a new dispersed safe accommodation service for adult victims and survivors of domestic abuse with complex and intersecting needs, and their children where applicable.
- You will provide visible, hands‑on leadership and be accountable for safe, trauma‑informed, strengths‑based and outcome‑focused service delivery.
- You will ensure that staff build trusting relationships, complete robust domestic abuse risk and needs assessments, co‑produce accessible support and safety plans, respond effectively to high‑risk and repeat MARAC cases, and help each household progress towards sustainable accommodation and greater independence.
- You will manage people, safeguarding, service quality, contract performance, budgets, properties, referrals, occupancy and partnerships.
- You will maintain strong governance and assurance while creating a psychologically informed culture that supports reflective practice, professional curiosity, survivor choice and continuous improvement.
- Ensure staffing levels, rotas and deployment provide effective core coverage from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm Monday to Friday and clear emergency support and escalation outside core hours, including nights and weekends.
- Knowledge and experience of all types of domestic violence and abuse and the intersectionality with other vulnerabilities and disadvantage, such as but not limited to, substance use, protected characteristics, health, social issues and gender.
- Expertise in working with victims and survivors from diverse and disadvantaged backgrounds knowledge of the specific challenges they face.
- Experience of working with households with a large range of complex needs.
- Experience of incorporating victims and survivors of domestic violence in both developing and delivering services.
- Experience of encouraging and developing volunteers.
- Experience of taking a strengths‑based approach to service delivery.
- Developing innovative ideas and best practice around service delivery, partnership working, working with this group of adults, and working with volunteers and people with personal insight into domestic violence.
- A consideration of trauma informed work and therapeutic practice.
