Child & Young Person Behavioural Support Worker Durham Area £17.00 - £20.00 per Hour | Flexible Shifts Available Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? We are currently recruiting Child & Young Person Support Workers to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, including SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs in the County Durham area.

The Role As a Child & Young Person Support Worker, you will work closely with vulnerable children and young people, supporting their daily routines, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. The role offers a variety of flexible shift patterns, including:
Day shifts Waking night shifts Long day shifts Sleep-in shifts Weekend work Candidates must be able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week , although we can offer flexibility across a variety of shift patterns to suit your availability. Responsibilities Providing person-centred support to children and young people Building positive and trusting relationships Supporting with daily activities and routines Promoting independence, life skills, and social development Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours where required Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive mental health Maintaining accurate records and reports Working alongside families and multidisciplinary professionals Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times What We're Looking For We would love to hear from candidates who are:
