The OUT Spoken Navigator supports men who have experienced trauma, including sexual harm, within prisons across the North West, helping them access the support they need to improve their wellbeing and move forward in their recovery. The role involves conducting assessments, providing trauma-informed brief interventions and advocacy, and helping men navigate available support. Working closely with prison staff, healthcare professionals and other services, the Navigator helps ensure men receive joined-up support, particularly those who may have experienced complex trauma or struggled to engage with services in the past.
It's a rewarding opportunity to build trusting relationships, give men a voice within the criminal justice system and make a meaningful difference to their lives, ensuring no male survivor is left behind.
