£40,000 – £50,000 | 12-month FTC with strong view to permanent | Hybrid (Salford area)

Are you an experienced Python engineer looking to work on meaningful, large-scale technology that underpins critical infrastructure? You’ll play a key role in shaping and supporting a large-scale wholesale fibre platform, building and testing software solutions that power essential APIs across the business. You’ll have real ownership from design through to deployment - collaborating closely with Architecture, Engineering and business teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

• Designing and delivering Python-based software solutions
• Building and maintaining secure, scalable APIs
• Developing automated test suites and working with TDD practices
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines and release processes
• Troubleshooting defects and performance issues
• Working closely with Architecture and wider stakeholders to shape solutions

• Strong commercial Python experience (essential)
• Experience building distributed systems in AWS
• API design and integration experience
