Salary

£50,000 - 60,000 per year

• Around 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience
• Good experience with .NET backend development
• Exposure to PHP, React, and Type Script
• Interest in product engineering rather than ticket‑factory delivery
• Strong focus on code quality, collaboration, and improving systems properly
• Curiosity around AI‑assisted development and modern engineering tooling

• Contribute to the modern platform built in .NET Core and React/Type Script
• Support and gradually modernise parts of the existing PHP estate
• Work within a UK product squad alongside a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer, QA, Product Manager, and UX Designer
• Help build cross‑functional product squads as we bring engineering capability in‑house
• Contribute to the ongoing technology transformation and evolving engineering standards
• Take ownership of delivering meaningful product work in a fast‑moving environment

We are a PE‑backed consumer platform operating at scale across the UK, and we are rebuilding our internal engineering capability after previously relying on outsourced development teams. We are modernising both our platform and engineering culture, with cross‑functional product squads, strong product thinking, and modern development practices at the centre of how we work. This is a Manchester‑based role with hybrid working, requiring three days onsite each week.

We offer a salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, private healthcare, and additional benefits.
