Lead Software Engineer - IR35 - Hybrid

Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

Rate: up to £750 per day (Inside IR35)

Location: 2 days a week onsite across an UK site

Contract Type: 12 months + Ext

Start Date: ASAP

Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for security clearance

Involved Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Lead Software Engineer who can make a positive impact and want to contribute to one of the most demanding and important Government services for the UK. The Lead Software Engineer will be working on products which change the face of public services with the potential to dramatically transform the future of millions of people.

As well as being a hands-on engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to lead other engineers as well as actively collaborate, champion technical evolution within the organisation and ensure that your team is helping to achieve overarching strategic aims.

• Significant demonstrable experience in one or both of:
• Modern software engineering for digital products (ideally Java, microservice architectures, Hexagonal software architecture, Mongo and Kafka);
• OR designing and implementing modern cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops, and automation (ideally AWS, Terraform, Git Lab CI, Jenkins)
• Lead engineering teams
• Collaborative
• Working and leading in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, delivering products within specific time-scales and engaging with multiple stakeholders
