On behalf of our rapidly growing client based in Manchester, we are recruiting for an exceptional Software Engineering Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Lead Software Engineer looking to step into an Engineering Manager position, leading a high-performing team of 810 engineers.
As Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing engineers within the wider technology team, while helping shape engineering standards, delivery, and technical direction.
The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for:- Leading and managing a team of approximately 810 software engineers, supporting both their technical and professional development
- Ensuring the team understands company and departmental goals, and that engineering and architectural best practices are followed
- Mentoring and coaching engineers, helping individuals achieve their full potential
- Working closely with Product and Project teams to ensure development priorities are understood, estimated accurately, and delivered on time to a high standard
