Legal Engineer – Central Manchester / Hybrid

£45,000 - £50,000 + bonus, 35‑hour work week and great benefits

Our profitable and multi‑national business requires a driven and self‑motivated Legal Engineer to join our growing team. The Legal Engineers create and maintain digital tools, products and services that improve legal processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs for clients. The role ensures solutions are scalable and maintainable, helps design, implement, and evaluate AI‑enabled solutions that enhance how legal services are delivered.

This is a large organisation that has achieved growth year on year for more than a decade and has posted record revenues for the last financial year. As a Legal Engineer you will re‑develop and expand prototypes into working solutions, working with lawyers to ensure they meet expectations and deliver on their vision, and create functional and technical documentation to improve maintainability and usability of various digital platforms.

The role requires 1–2 days per week in the office, preferably at our Central Manchester office, with occasional visits to Nottingham.

• Understanding of low‑code tech – Microsoft Power Platform, HighQ, Smartsheet, Legora etc.
• Confidence to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Enthusiasm for new technology, continuous learning and improvement
• Ability to design logical workflows and structure digital solutions
• Familiarity with AI tools and platforms
• Effective prompt engineering skills
• Experience delivering solutions compliant with AI, data, and security standards
• Understanding of LLMs and integrating AI services with other platforms and tools
