Location:
Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: £60,000 £ 75,000 We're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join a large Software & Platform Engineering team delivering enterprise-scale digital products for major private and public sector clients. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll work with modern technologies, lead engineers and help deliver scalable, high-quality digital products.
The Role You'll work closely with clients and engineering teams to design and deliver complex software solutions, while supporting strong engineering standards and helping develop other engineers. What you'll be doing:
Lead engineers across complex software projects. Remain hands-on with software design and development. Build scalable, secure and high-performing applications. Work with cloud-native technologies and modern Dev Ops practices. Mentor engineers and support their technical development. Help drive strong engineering standards across delivery teams. What You'll Need:
Strong commercial software engineering experience.
Experience with Java, Type Script, Python, Go or C# .
Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP . Knowledge of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. Experience leading or mentoring engineers. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. The role is suitable for engineers from frontend, backend or full-stack backgrounds , with a strong focus on both hands-on engineering and technical leadership. What's in it for you?
