Level Designer

As a Level Designer on Star Citizen, you will be working as part of a larger Design team to help create cutting edge gameplay and level content within a meticulously crafted, multiplayer online space sim. Design and implement gameplay content that pushes the boundaries and quality for Star Citizen.

Implementation of mission flow and logic in our proprietary engine and visual scripting software.

Assist in the creation of incredibly realistic and breath-taking environments by working closely with the Art Environment team and blocking out spaces for gameplay.

Contribute to design discussions and assist in solving various design challenges that strive for quality above all else.

• Implementation of feedback from Design leads and balancing content based on play testing.

What do we expect from a Level Designer?

Demonstratable knowledge of modern game engines (such as Unreal Engine 4/5, Cry Engine or Unity) with examples of personal/professional work or group projects showcasing visual scripting and layouts.

Able to easily work with others in a friendly and positive environment, communicating vision between departments and the ability to give/receive feedback willingly.

Highly pro-active with good organisation and problem-solving skills.

Excellent understanding of Game and Level Design philosophies, including spatial design.

Experience developing levels with a multiplayer focus in an open world or MMO environment.

Ability to work to deadlines, at times unsupervised whilst delivering consistently high-quality standards.
