Lifeguard – Hale Country Club & Spa (part‑time, 16 hours per week, 2 shifts)

Location:

Manchester, England, United Kingdom. You will work at the exclusive Hale Country Club & Spa, a destination that blends fitness, wellness and luxury spa services for its members.

• Supervise swimming activities and ensure safety procedures, guidelines, and policies are followed.
• Identify unsafe activities and enforce water safety policies and pool regulations.
• Provide first aid in the event of injury, rescue swimmers in danger or distress, and administer CPR or artificial respiration as needed.
• Assess conditions for safety and develop an action plan for aquatic emergencies.
• Inspect pool equipment, facilities, and water to confirm they are usable and safe.
• Assist with cleaning equipment and facilities.
• Open and close the pool each day per schedule and hours.
• Instruct or assist classes in the fundamentals of swimming.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts to maintain a safe pool environment for competitions.

• Advanced swimming abilities.
• First Aid trained.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) awarded by the Royal Life Saving Society.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Evidence of continued self‑development within fitness.
• Flexible in approach to a working environment and able to work on a rota.
• Interest in swimming and leisure facilities.
