Transport Operator

Traffic Operator - 1 Year's Experience Required - Trafford Park - Permanent Role.

Salary: up to £30,000pa (dependant on experience)

Silver Arrow are recruiting a Traffic Operator to join a busy transport operation based in Trafford Park. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with one year or more of experience in the transport sector (preferably containers) to take the next step in their career and become part of a well-established team.

• Plan fleet movements for collections and deliveries, ensuring timely execution and optimal driver/vehicle utilisation
• Schedule vehicles for service in line with company requirements
• Monitor driver progress and provide support throughout their shifts
• Liaise with customers and drivers to resolve issues and maintain service standards
• Ensure compliance with road transport legislation and working time directives
• Support with admin tasks including order entry and data input

• Previous experience in transport or logistics (at least 1 year, preferably containers)
• Strong geographical knowledge
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Computer literacy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
