Job Overview
An established and growing manufacturing company is seeking a highly organised and experienced Logistics Executive to join its dynamic supply chain team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of inbound and outbound goods, while driving continuous improvement across logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage logistics capacity to support factory operations, warehousing, and outbound distribution.
- Liaise with third‑party logistics providers to ensure optimal service at the best value.
- Coordinate outbound deliveries (including groupage, full loads, and collections), ensuring accurate consignment preparation and efficient routing.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance with UK regulatory requirements.
- Provide clear and complete customs instructions (e.g. HS Codes, CPC, Importer/Exporter of Record, VAT/duty allocations).
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks by implementing process improvements.
- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly operational meetings, offering insight and reporting on logistics performance.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient material flow.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement and professional collaboration within the logistics function.
- Experience in logistics, ideally with third‑party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs processes and required documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Highly organised, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively across internal departments and external partners.
- Able to prioritise, multi‑task, and meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commercially aware, with sound judgement and a solutions‑driven mindset.
- Salary up to £35,000
