ATR Captain – Direct Entry; Type Rating

The opportunity

As a Direct Entry Captain on the ATR 42, you will lead safe, efficient, and passenger‑focused operations while championing SOPs and a just safety culture. You will set the tone on the flight deck, guide your crew with clarity, and make sound decisions to deliver a reliable operation every day.

• Operate ATR 42 sectors to the highest safety and compliance standards across all phases of flight.
• Lead and mentor the flight and cabin crew, fostering strong CRM and teamwork.
• Exercise decisive judgement under pressure, balancing operational, commercial, and safety priorities.
• Maintain rigorous adherence to company SOPs, regulatory requirements, and best practice.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, engineering, ATC, and ground operations to ensure on‑time, efficient performance.

• Strong technical proficiency with in‑depth knowledge of aviation regulations, safety practices, and flight operations.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, inclusive approach to leadership and crew collaboration.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make timely, well‑reasoned decisions.
• Proven teamwork and leadership capabilities in a multi‑crew environment.
• Right to live and work in the UK.

• Medical:
  Class 1
• ICAO ELP level: 4 (minimum)

  Valid ATR 42/72 type rating
• Currency:
  Currently or recently operated in command on a multi‑crew aircraft (MTOW > 10t or 19+ pax)

NTR candidates are welcome. Comprehensive ATR 42 type rating and line training are provided, building on your existing command experience to ensure a smooth transition to our operation.
