Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable HGV Driver to transport goods efficiently and safely across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all road safety regulations.

• Operate Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) safely and in compliance with all relevant traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage during transit.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes to meet schedules and minimize fuel consumption.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle records, and other necessary paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status or any unexpected delays.
• Adhere to strict health and safety procedures at all times.
• Represent P&G professionally during all interactions.

• Continuous Coaching & Mentorship:

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no Dangerous Driving (DD) or Drink Driving (DR) endorsements.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (DQC) / CPC.
• Proven experience as an HGV driver, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
• Excellent knowledge of driving regulations, tachograph rules, and road safety procedures.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and prolonged driving.
• A strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• Preferably: references from previous employers.

For this role, you will need to provide your own continuous (i.e. not time limited) right to work in the UK from Day 1 of employment without requiring sponsorship from P&G.
