Role
Class 2 HIAB Driver
About the roleWe are currently seeking an enthusiastic HGV 2 Class 2 HIAB Driver for a large well-known timber merchant to deliver to business and residential customers in and around the North West.
LocationSouth Manchester
Work PatternFull time, Monday – Friday (expected minimum 40 hours per week)
Salary£19.05 per hour (includes holiday pay; alternatively, £17.00 ph with accrued holiday pay). Overtime is paid weekly via PAYE.
Responsibilities- Securing loads, understanding height restrictions and legal height limits
- 5‑6 drops per day, using HIAB lorry loader
- Driving vehicle responsibly and safely, obeying all traffic laws
- Performing daily vehicle checks to ensure procedural compliance
- Maintaining regular contact with branch managers on daily progress
- Completing paperwork accurately as instructed
- Experienced HIAB Operator Certificate with Remote
- Cat C licence (Category C – Class
2) - HIAB Certificate – Class 2 HIAB Driver
- Valid CPC and digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 points (no DD's, DR's, IN's, TT's)
- Full UK driving licence held for minimum 1 year
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Company pension
