Role
Position: HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver
Salary: £16.15 per hour including holiday pay (£14.40 with accrued holiday pay)
Location: Wythenshawe, Trafford
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 0630am until 1500 – Full time, contract, permanent
Responsibilities- Operate the HGV and ensure the collection of refuse/recycling from requested locations, following a route set by the business and disposing of refuse/recycling at the appropriate waste collection sites.
- Carry out vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with both company vehicle policy and legislative requirements, and complete appropriate paperwork.
- Work as a member of the team and receive instructions from supervisors, communicating them with other crew members and complying with health and safety at work requirements.
- Maintain the best operational relationship between the public, other customers and client representatives by dealing courteously with complaints and queries.
- Carry out and assist with loading responsibilities.
Initially the successful HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver will work for us for a temporary period (minimum period of 13 weeks) after which you will move over onto the client’s payroll into a permanent contracted position. Whilst in your Temp to Perm position with Driver Hire you will receive:

- Full Category C Driving Licence
- Experience of driving Class 2 vehicle
- Valid CPC and Digital tacho
- Basic literacy skills
