Pay Rates

 * £15.00 per hour (PAYE)

 * £16.81 per hour with holiday pay rolled up into your hourly rate

* Overtime paid at Time and a Half after 8.75 hours worked per shift

The Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category

C) Drivers for temporary and ongoing contracts across Cheadle and stockport.

Our clients operate a wide range of commercial vehicles, including curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles, offering varied work across the transport and construction sectors.

Drivers will be delivering a variety of products including palletised goods, building materials, steel, timber, concrete products and other industrial materials.

This is a job and finish role, with early morning starts from 6:00am.

Duties Include

* Driving Class 2 curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles.

* Delivering palletised goods to commercial customers.

* Transporting building materials, timber, steel, concrete products and other industrial materials.

* Safely securing loads using ratchet straps and other load restraint equipment where required.

* Opening and closing curtain-sided vehicles.

* Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.

* Completing delivery paperwork accurately.

* Providing excellent customer service.

* Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you must have:

* A valid Class 2 (Category

C) driving licence held for a minimum of 1 to 2 years.

* At least 1 year's Class 2 driving experience.

* Experience driving both curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles is preferred.

* Confidence securing loads safely using ratchet straps.

* A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.

* A valid Digital Tachograph Card.

* No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.

* No endorsements that have resulted in a driving ban or disqualification.

* A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.

* A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
