HGV Driver (Days) Fixed Term 31st October - CAN GO PERM!

Regular roster of 5 on 3 off shift, Start Time between 9am and 11am and finishing between 6pm and 8pm, Overtime rate of 1.5, Free onsite parking, complimentary meals and refreshments, free uniform, free life insurance, company sick pay, pension scheme.
Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role involves driving 15–18 tonne company-liveried HGV vehicles within a secure and controlled environment, ensuring all pre-use vehicle checks are completed thoroughly. Responsibilities include loading and unloading catering supplies to aircraft, liaising with flight crew, and working collaboratively with other ground handling suppliers to support efficient operations. You will be expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness for the vehicle at all times, while adhering strictly to Road Traffic Acts and additional airport by-laws.
Daily tasks will also include bar and stores packing, as well as search and sealing procedures, alongside completing all relevant associated paperwork. In addition, you will support general warehouse duties as required.
- £17.00 per hour
- Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate

- Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
- Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
- Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.
All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
