Job Description

Our clients are currently seeking an experienced Air Export Freight Forwarder to manage and coordinate international shipments Internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring full compliance with international trade regulations while delivering a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end Air export shipments
  • Arrange bookings with airlines, and hauliers
  • Liaise with overseas agents, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth movement of cargo
  • Prepare and process all relevant shipping documentation, including:
  • Arrange Export customs clearance and ensure compliance with all international trade regulations
  • Monitor Export shipment progress and proactively resolve any delays or issues
  • Provide accurate freight quotations to customers
  • Invoice customers and ensure all costs are correctly accounted for
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
Requirements Skills & Experience Required
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience within Air Export freight forwarding.
  • Strong knowledge of air freight operations
  • Experience handling Export customs procedures and documentation
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate rates
  • Proficiency in freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office
  • CDS experience in the UK
  • Dangerous goods knowledge
  • Experience working with international agents
