Transport Planner

My client is a fast growing logistics business with a network of 11 sites in the UK currently with further expansion plans on the horizon. You will be working in a fast paced environment where no two days are the same. Due to further expansion they are seeking a Transport Planner to join their friendly team. Responsibilities Planning collections predominately in the North West , using TMS but manual planning experience also required Maximising the use of 30 vehicles daily in the most cost effective and efficient way Maintaining regular contact with drivers Ensuring customers are updated on any delays or issues Working in conjunction with other internal departments such as customer service and compliance Liaising with sub contractors and agencies if required Skills required Previous transport planning experience Strong Uk geographical knowledge Understanding of WTD and drivers legislation Strong communication skills Resilience Able to deal with complaints Solution driven Strong IT skills Working hours Monday Friday  Benefits include 22 days holiday bank holidays Life Assurance Employee Assistance Programme Lifestyle benefits/discounts Pension scheme Excellent working environment Genuine career progression opportunities
