HGV Class 1 Driver - Middleton, Manchester People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Middleton, Manchester on a full-time ongoing basis. This is an excellent opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, consistent work, and a professional working environment. This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay: £20.06 per hour Overtime after 48 hours paid at x1.5 Shift Pattern:
Monday to Sunday (any 5 out of

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:
Safely and efficiently operating Category CE vehicles Delivering food products to store locations Ensuring all loads are safely secured before departure Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Reporting vehicle defects or issues promptly Completing deliveries in a timely and professional manner Communicating effectively with the transport office regarding delays or issues Complying with Driver Hours Regulations, the Working Time Directive, and UK road traffic legislation Completing all required paperwork and electronic records accurately Essential

Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need: A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card A valid Digital Tachograph Card A minimum of two years Category CE driving experience preferred No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN10, DR10 or DD10 endorsements) Strong communication and customer service skills A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work Training:
Paid site induction Full industry-related training Ongoing support throughout your assignment Experience handling double-decker trailers would be advantageous Additional training and support provided where required Apply:
