Stock Controller

Hours:
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to oversee the day-to-day running of warehouse operations and support the efficient movement of goods across our sites. This role is key to ensuring orders are picked, packed, and dispatched on time while maintaining high standards of organisation, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily warehouse operations and ensure smooth workflow.
* Pick and pack customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
* Process orders both physically and through the ERP system ready for dispatch.
* Receive, check, and store incoming stock in designated areas.
* Maintain correct stock rotation and assist with stock control.
* Prepare goods for dispatch and load/unload delivery vehicles.
* Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if trained).
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist with inventory audits.
* Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organised, and safe at all times.
* Report damaged or missing goods and escalate delays to the relevant departments.
* Ensure orders are dispatched in line with the ‘To Be Shipped’ report to meet customer delivery requirements.
* Prepare shipping documentation using the company’s ERP system.
* Assist with loading and unloading transport using FLT where required.
* Manage finished goods stock control and support monthly stock takes.
* Organise and document waste materials ready for collection.
* Follow all company quality procedures and health & safety regulations.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience preferred.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* FLT licence beneficial but not essential.
