location: trafford distribution centre (tdc)

what you'll do:

the difference you will make: as an area manager, you'll lead a key operational area within our distribution centre, taking ownership of both people and performance. You'll create a high-performing environment, ensure operational excellence and play a critical role in delivering best-in-class service for our customers while driving continuous improvement across the business.

  • lead, coach and develop a team of warehouse colleagues, creating a positive, high-performance culture aligned to adidas values.
  • drive operational performance across your designated area, ensuring productivity, quality, safety and service targets are consistently achieved.
  • monitor area kpis, analyse performance data and implement corrective actions where required to improve results.
  • ensure full compliance with health & safety standards, delivering training, promoting wellbeing and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • identify and implement process improvements, collaborating with stakeholders to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and support wider supply chain initiatives.

  • essential: previous people management experience within a warehouse / distribution centre environment.
  • essential: substantial leadership experience managing operational teams within a warehouse or logistics setting.
  • proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams while driving engagement, accountability and performance.
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset and a focus on operational excellence.
  • experience working with warehouse management systems and warehouse control systems, alongside good microsoft office skills.
  • excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • flexible approach to working patterns, including the ability to provide night shift cover when required.
