Full-Time Retail Sales Associate

$14.00 to $17.00 per hour plus commission up to 8% on transactions (average $1.90 per hour). The commission structure rewards every transaction processed.

The company seeks entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service across lending and retail operations, greeting, engaging, and processing sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate handles jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations). Compensation consists of an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, varying by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to build rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items following established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Completes other related duties as assigned.

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be required to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from external storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit from personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
