We are looking for candidates with several years of experience in high-end dining environments, where they have honed their culinary expertise and developed an innovative approach to food preparation.
In this role, you will not only prepare exquisite dishes that align with our high standards but also lead by example in the kitchen, mentoring junior cooks and ensuring a smooth workflow. Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, as you will collaborate closely with fellow team members and participate in kitchen management during peak hours.

Responsibilities:Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan dutiesLabel and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessibleMeasure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cookingPrepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.Ensure all food and other items are stored properlyComply with nutrition and sanitation guidelinesPerform other kitchen duties as assignedProper storage for advanced productionFilling out daily/nightly prep sheets and prepping to assigned par levelsReporting any maintenance or security problemsProper station set - breakdown and general cleaningQualifications:Proven experience as a prep cookKnowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchenManual dexterity to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensilsA team player with strong communication skillsPatient and able to remain positive under pressureExcellent physical condition and enduranceHigh school diploma or equivalent is desirable; training from a culinary school is a plusWork environment includes restaurant and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam, and extreme temperaturesExposure to hazardous cleaning chemicals used in food and beverage preparationAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with easeCapable of walking, stooping, standing, bending, and sitting, possibly for over one hourProficient in both oral and written communication in English#J-18808-Ljbffr
