Production Lead (Mandeville, LA)

Job SummaryThe Production Lead assists with day‑to‑day store operations and production performance, meeting or exceeding budget while complying with company standards and policies.
Essential Functions- Reach production goal guidelines (minimum of 110 garments per hour with a minimum quality standard of 90%).
- Ensure proper production of donations processed and ready to display.
- Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
- Produce donated goods in the backroom, maintain a clean store environment, attractive displays, and presentable personnel.
- Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in the back‑room area.
- Keep the store clean and hazard‑free by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Observe personnel and safety policies and ensure compliance by Production Associates.
- Perform job duties of Production Associates when required.
- Attend scheduled shifts as assigned by the manager for the week.
- Assist Store Manager or Production Manager in achieving/exceeding production goals monthly and annually and implement contingency plans if goals are not met.
- Interact professionally and productively with a diverse array of people.
- Market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships among store and production personnel while motivating them to optimal performance.
- Work a flexible schedule at short notice, including nights and weekends, and occasionally long hours.
- Perform repetitive hand movements (buttoning, sorting, hanging, zipping garments).
- Engage in prolonged standing, walking, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Function in a fast‑paced work environment with occasional high‑volume periods.
- High School diploma or GED and 6 months supervisory experience or a minimum of 90 days in the service industry.
- Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
- Successfully complete Retail training.
Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
