The objective of the Sales Development Representative is to develop sales efforts, build relationships with customers, and contribute to the overall success of the company. This is an entry-level position that offers excellent opportunities for career advancement and skill development.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and reaching out to potential customers
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business
- Support and collaborate with senior sales team members to generate leads and prospects
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to potential clients
- Assist in creating and maintaining sales reports and databases

Accountabilities and Performance
- Share customer feedback and insights with the team to improve our products/services and sales strategies
- Develop a deep understanding of our products/services and their features
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitors to effectively communicate the value of our offerings to customers
- Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
This position requires approximately 90 nights of travel per year.
Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Enthusiastic and customer-oriented attitude
- Basic understanding of sales principles and techniques
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and grow in a sales career
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field is a plus
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
- Assist in processing sales orders, contracts, and other documentation.
- Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
- This position requires delivering online and live presentations.
