Position: Carpenter - Statewide, Louisiana (Various Parishes)

Overview

Carpenter at Struction Solutions. The Carpenter will perform carpentry and general maintenance tasks, including construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of structures, fixtures, and equipment. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, attention to detail, and maintaining safe and efficient facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Construct, install, repair, and maintain wood, metal, and composite structures such as doors, walls, floors, roofs, windows, partitions, cabinets, and furniture.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to plan and complete projects accurately.
  • Operate and maintain carpentry tools, machinery, and equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using proper tools and techniques.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff on facility improvement and repair projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform related general maintenance duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of carpentry experience in construction, maintenance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a variety of physical environments.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with finish carpentry, cabinetry, or framing.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction standards and ADA compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of other trades (plumbing, electrical, painting) a plus.
