Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Sr. Principal Engineer Software. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, California or Colorado Springs, CO and will support the Sentinel program. The successful candidate will be a motivated software developer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming as well as identifying COTS candidates.

Full Stack Developers are responsible for developing and designing front end web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications and working alongside graphic designers for web design features, among other duties. Full Stack Developers will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:
• Developing front end website architecture.

• Designing user interactions on web pages.

• Developing back-end website applications.

• Creating servers and databases for functionality.

• Ensuring responsiveness of applications.

• Working alongside graphic designers for web design features.

• Designing and developing APIs.

• Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages.

• Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product
• Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

• Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Basic Qualifications:

• Sr. Principal Software Engineer: 8 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.

• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

• Ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning.

• Experience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team.

• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design principles
