As a Part‑Time Shipping Clerk on Purple Wave’s marketing team, you’ll work side‑by‑side with colleagues to prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments—making sure our event materials, promo items, and mailers arrive exactly where they need to be, right on time. Working closely with our Tradeshow and Marketing Coordinator, you’ll combine hands‑on work with light computer tasks to update addresses, track returns, and keep our records sharp in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment.

The Part‑Time Marketing Shipping Clerk plays a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operations of Purple Wave's marketing department. This position will work closely with the Tradeshow and Marketing Coordinator and will report to the Director of Marketing. The role ensures orders are fulfilled according to company standards, shipping documentation is completed properly, and products are handled with care. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.

Additionally, this position requires basic computer work to review returned mailers, correct address information, and update records to ensure accurate future deliveries.

• Accurately pick and pack marketing materials to be shipped.
• Create and verify shipping labels, packing slips, and other documentation.
• Coordinate shipping with carriers such as UPS, Fed Ex, and USPS.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper packaging.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing materials as needed.
• Communicate regarding order status and shipping issues.
• Review and correct return‑address information on outgoing mailers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assign leads to sales team via Smart Sheet.
• Verify and validate address details against internal records, flagging discrepancies for follow‑up as needed.
• Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

• High school diploma or GED required (or current student).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively on demand.
• Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
• Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.

• Regular Part‑Time, Hourly, Non‑Exempt, eligible for overtime.
• Regular schedule of 12‑15 hours per week, to be determined in agreement with the manager during Purple Wave’s office hours of 8 am‑5 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

• Hourly rate is $12.00‑$14.00 per hour.
• Monthly Bonus Program at 50% level - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $150, 100% = $300, 110% = $450, 120% = $600).
• 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.
• Company‑paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
• Fully paid Short‑Term Disability provided by the Company.
• Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 40 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year. May vary based on state requirements.
