Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) is a well-established leader in mental health and substance abuse services, operating six Article 31 licensed clinics across Brooklyn and Midtown Manhattan. Our team of over 85 licensed clinicians delivers personalized and comprehensive care, including individual, group, and family counseling, psychosocial and psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and psychopharmacology services—all designed to support the holistic well-being of a diverse client population.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking reliable and professional Part-Time Front Desk Receptionists for our clinic locations. As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, the receptionist plays a key role in ensuring a welcoming and organized environment at the front desk. This role involves high-volume phone support, administrative duties, and client interaction in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in clients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and manage multiple phone lines (up to 20 lines), directing calls, transferring, and taking messages for various departments including:
- Mental Health Clinic
- Fiscal and Development Departments
- Executive Offices (President & CEO)
- Notify therapists and psychiatrists of client arrivals and facilitate smooth session flow
- Schedule appointments for clients with therapists and psychiatrists
- Perform data entry and administrative tasks, including:
- Verifying insurance eligibility
- Processing Medicaid, Metro Card entitlements, and other benefits through systems such as Quic Doc, PTAR, and ePACES
- Maintain and organize client charts and documentation
- Receive and sign for deliveries; ensure timely distribution to appropriate staff
- Support general front desk operations to maintain a clean, professional, and efficient reception area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Outstanding verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong telephone etiquette and multi-line phone handling experience
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Must be able to work onsite at assigned clinic location
