• Kansas teaching license.
• Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Background check required.
• Board‑approved alternatives to the above qualifications are acceptable.

• Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within district resources.
• Guide students in maintaining acceptable standards of classroom behavior.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media, consistent with student needs and district goals.
• Strive to implement the district’s philosophy of education and instructional objectives.
• Demonstrate instructional and interpersonal strategies responsive to cultural, ethnic, economic, and linguistic differences.
• Teach all students from a culturally inclusive perspective and establish expectations for classroom language and behaviors that value differences.
• Support students in discovering and sharing their own cultural identities and teach appropriate language for cross‑cultural questions.
• Evaluate student progress continually and report at designated times.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation.
• Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
• Make provisions for being available to students and parents for educationally related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested under reasonable terms.
• Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents concerning academic and behavioral progress.
• Cooperate with staff in planning instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Other duties as assigned by administration.
