Purple Wave, a leader in online heavy equipment auctions, is seeking an experienced Credit Specialist to join our Buyer Services team. The role is crucial in evaluating and qualifying bidders for high‑value transactions while managing risk and maintaining the integrity of our auction platform. The ideal candidate combines strong multitasking skills with excellent judgment to ensure secure and reliable transactions.
The Credit Specialist plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our online auction marketplace. This position vets prospective bidders to ensure only credible, qualified customers participate in high‑value transactions. The Credit Specialist screens bidders through financial verification, identity validation, and comprehensive risk assessment to identify and prevent fraudulent or high‑risk participants from transacting. Working within our Buyer Services team, the Credit Specialist safeguards Purple Wave, our sellers and legitimate buyers by maintaining a secure and trustworthy auction marketplace.
Responsibilities- Conduct daily bidder qualification and monitor bid activity through high call volume (40–60+ calls).
- Manage bidder communications and maintain customer relationships.
- Provide bidder education and establish new customer accounts.
- Assist customers throughout their financing process.
- Process and verify financial credentials and documentation.
- Handle deposit processing and transactions.
- Complete additional assigned duties as requested.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and handles sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail‑oriented with strong accuracy and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self‑motivated and accountable; works independently and takes ownership of results.
- Adapts to auction cycle fluctuations; excels during high‑volume periods and remains productive during slower times.
- Decisive problem‑solver capable of making sound judgments under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all professional channels (phone, email, text).
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
- 1+ year experience in a professional office environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).

- Potential for 20–30% travel, should the need arise.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

- Hourly rate varies based on experience and qualifications, typically $22 per hour and is paid bi‑weekly.
- Monthly Bonus Program – determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
