Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist (Flint Hills) - Radiology Diag - FT - Day
Full-time radiology technologist responsible for advanced imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing disease and injuries.
- Shift: 12-hour day shift
- Hours per week: 36
- Position status: Full time
Job Duties
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Determine exposure factors and adjust equipment to produce high quality images.
- Use immobilization devices to obtain optimum views.
- Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain cooperation.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Process images and review for proper identification and quality control.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment.
- Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports.
- Perform office work including answering phone, obtaining information, and ordering supplies.
- Comply with all policies, standards, mandatory training, and requirements of Stormont Vail Health.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 months experience in at least one advanced modality.
- Minimum 3 months surgery experience.
- Preferred 2 years experience in a hospital/clinic.
- Radiography - ARRT required.
- Passage of at least one advanced modality (CT, NM, MRI, MG, US) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
