Central Utility Plant Operator General Info

Four Seasons Environmental, Inc. – National Bio and Agro‑Defense Facility, Manhattan, Kansas
Pay: $35.56/hr plus fringe benefit of $9.87/hr.

- Operate and monitor boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and auxiliary equipment to maintain consistent utility services.
- Adjust system controls to regulate temperature, pressure, flow, and chemical levels.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- Monitor computerized control systems (e.g., SCADA, BMS) for performance and alarms.
- Respond to alarms, equipment failures, and emergency situations in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of plant operations and maintenance activities.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist maintenance staff in repairs of plant equipment.
- Test and treat water systems (e.g., boiler and chiller water) to maintain appropriate chemical balance.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and OSHA regulations.
- Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Employees may be subject to immunization and testing requirements pursuant to Client and current Company requirements.
- Employees must meet federal credentialing process requirements to access the facility, including obtaining facility access (e.g., PIV card, smart card, access card, badge) and meeting ongoing training and access requirements.
- Employees may be required to participate in the select agent program, which includes additional background investigations, training, and performing work in a bio‑containment facility, as well as meeting ongoing program requirements to maintain eligibility and compliance.
