About This RoleThe department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology and Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine are offering a 3-year residency in veterinary Toxicology. The position is available starting July 1, 2025.
- Program goal:
Prepare trainees for a career as a veterinary toxicologist. - Training includes understanding toxicologic effects of various toxicants on an animal system.
- Training includes laboratory methods to detect toxicants and quality control.
- Preparation for successful completion of the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology certification examination.
The department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology and Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, in collaboration with the Kansas Water Institute, offer this residency.

Minimum Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree by July 1, 2025.
- Required to obtain Kansas Veterinary licensure through the Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
