Overview
Research Technician – Kansas Wild Turkeys, Greater Prairie Chickens and Mourning Doves Research. This position will perform duties associated with the initiation of a statewide research project on wild turkeys, mourning doves, greater prairie chickens, and the development of landcover maps. This position is Hybrid eligible.
Responsibilities- Conduct field research on wild turkeys, mourning doves, and greater prairie chickens.
- Gather and analyze data related to population status and habitat use.
- Create landcover maps using GIS and other computing systems.
- Collaborate with Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
- High school diploma.
- B.S. in natural resources or a related field.
- Experience with GIS and other computing systems to create landcover maps.
- Experience in collaboration with Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
