• Greet and support donors
• Unload donation and handle donations in a professional manner
• Notify donors of what can’t be accepted and identify alternative donation locations
• Log all donations
• Distribute tax receipts
• Process donations
• Load and unload trucks
• Sort donations and remove soiled/broken/worn donations to salvage
• Label gaylords
• Remove sharps and hazardous materials and store them in the designated area
• Assist in maintaining safety and security of donated merchandise
• Use hand truck/pallet jack to move donations
• Keep area clean and organized, including exterior of building
• Perform exterior duties, including snow removal, de‑icing, picking up dropped‑off donations
• Ensure supplies are stocked, neat and organized
• Sweep and mop as necessary
• Ensure clean, organized work and storage areas
• General store upkeep, including sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, and bathroom maintenance

• Experience in customer service preferred
• Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission
• Ability to perform job duties safely
• The incumbent should have at least 6 months of work history, unless this is their first job
• High school diploma or equivalent is not required
• Operation of the hand stacker will require the ability to become certified in its operation
