Pay Range$13.00/hr - $13.00/hr
Job Duties- Greet and support donors
- Unload donation and handle donations in a professional manner
- Notify donors of what can’t be accepted and identify alternative donation locations
- Log all donations
- Distribute tax receipts
- Process donations
- Load and unload trucks
- Sort donations and remove soiled/broken/worn donations to salvage
- Label gaylords
- Remove sharps and hazardous materials and store them in the designated area
- Assist in maintaining safety and security of donated merchandise
- Use hand truck/pallet jack to move donations
- Keep area clean and organized, including exterior of building
- Perform exterior duties, including snow removal, de‑icing, picking up dropped‑off donations
- Ensure supplies are stocked, neat and organized
- Sweep and mop as necessary
- Ensure clean, organized work and storage areas
- General store upkeep, including sweeping, mopping, glass cleaning, and bathroom maintenance
- Experience in customer service preferred
- Understanding of the importance of the donor process and how it supports the mission
- Ability to perform job duties safely
- The incumbent should have at least 6 months of work history, unless this is their first job
- High school diploma or equivalent is not required
- Operation of the hand stacker will require the ability to become certified in its operation
