Amish Country Gazebos is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting and payroll operations of our growing manufacturing company.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities while providing accurate and timely financial information to company leadership.

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Monitor financial performance and provide meaningful financial information to company leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.

• Process and oversee payroll for approximately 45 employees.
• Ensure accurate payroll calculations, deductions, and timely processing.
• Maintain compliance with applicable payroll tax requirements and accounting regulations.
• Assist with payroll reporting and year-end payroll documentation.

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and payroll procedures.
• Leverage accounting software, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Evaluate existing financial processes and recommend improvements.
• Maintain effective internal controls and accurate financial documentation.
• Collaborate with company leadership to support operational and financial decision-making.

• 5+ years of professional accounting experience
  , including hands-on financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
• Experience with payroll processing and payroll tax requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality.

• 2+ years of experience in an Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, Controller, or similar position.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), automation tools, and emerging technologies to streamline accounting processes, improve accuracy, and increase operational efficiency.
• Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and develop more effective financial reporting systems.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
