Job SummaryAs a Process Engineer in Manitowoc, WI, you will play a key role in optimizing production workflows and supporting the integration of new fabrication technologies; apply hands‑on experience in metal manufacturing processes to improve throughput, quality, and consistency; lead process development and optimization for laser cutting, forming, welding, and related fabrication operations; evaluate current operations, identify safety risks, and implement solutions that promote a safe and efficient work environment;
drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, data analysis, and root‑cause problem solving; support fixture design, development, and implementation; collaborate with suppliers, equipment vendors, and internal partners; assist with new product introductions and ensure manufacturability within metal fabrication processes.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering required
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a metal fabrication environment preferred; internships and co‑ops considered
- Experience with laser cutting, CNC fabrication equipment, or sheet‑metal processes
- Knowledge of fixture design, implementation, and optimization
- Experience in Lean manufacturing techniques, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root‑cause analysis
- Creo and/or AutoCAD experience a strong plus
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset
- Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Desire to work on a variety of projects
