- Conducting extensive research to inform the design and engineering methods.
- Planning and executing complex mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
- Working with a team that runs computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine the designs.
- Overseeing the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
- Documenting the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
- Managing project timelines and offshore resources
- Liaising with clients, designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
- Preparing technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
- Experience in the furniture domain and preferably Fume Hoods
- PE certification is advantageous.
- Proficiency with engineering design programs such as Solidworks and solidedge.
- Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
