- Conduct maintenance work requiring moderate skill levels on all associate equipment on a packaging line, including mixing operation
- Lubricate, adjust, and clean packaging machine
- Maintain and set up machinery on the packaging line
- Examine poly to ensure that the correct poly is being applied to the designated product and lot
- Examine the cartons to ensure that the cartons are printing according to buyer’s specifications
- Maintain proper palletizing of the finished cases using slip sheets when necessary
- Inspect and compare pallet tickets against pallet load to ensure accuracy
- Responsible for all line reporting by computer or paper
- Supervise the line personnel on their respective line
- Assist in training new line employees and/or new machine operators
- Responsible for work accomplished by the personnel in the Frozen Packaging Department
- Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures
- May perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous quality control experience (preferred)
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math function
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to maintain proper confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs
