Plans, organizes, coordinates, and provides direct nursing care for an identified group of patients according to specific standards. Responsibilities include critical care, emergency services, women’s and children’s center, specialty float, general float, medical/surgical, prep & holding/PACU, surgery center/special procedures, surgical services operating room.
Qualifications- Critical Care – At least one year Med/Surg experience; prefer ER and/or CCU nursing. ACLS required within first year.
- Emergency Services – At least one year Med/Surg experience; consider new graduates with paramedic experience only. ACLS required within first year; PALS and TNCC preferred.
- Women’s and Children’s Center – Prefer one year Med/Surg, pediatric, and/or OB nursing. NRP certification required within first year.
- Specialty Float – At least one year Med/Surg required. ER &/or CCU experience preferred; float between CCU, ER, and PACU. ACLS required within first year.
- General Float – At least one year Med/Surg required; float between Med/Surg, Surgery Center, and Post Partum.
- Medical/Surgical – Prefer one year Med/Surg experience.
- Prep & Holding/PACU – Prefer at least two years CCU, Cardiac Rehab, ER, or Surgical Services nursing. ACLS required within first year.
- Surgery Center/Special Procedures – Prefer two years Med/Surg and/or Ortho nursing. Ambulatory Per-Anesthesia nursing certificate and ACLS preferred.
- Operating Room – Prefer two to three years experience in Surgical/Ortho and/or Operating Room nursing. Operating Room Nurse certificate preferred. Current unrestricted Wisconsin RN license required. CPR certification required.
