What You'll Do:
Essential Duties & Clinical Leadership

As a Registered Nurse, you are a vital clinical leader responsible for executing and overseeing exceptional resident care.

  • Clinical Assessment & Planning:
    Conduct thorough and ongoing resident assessments. Plan, implement, and rigorously evaluate the effectiveness of individualized resident care plans, ensuring seamless execution by all nursing staff.
  • Medication & Treatment Safety:
    Prepare and administer all medications and execute physician-ordered treatments with meticulous attention to detail, strictly adhering to facility protocols and the "five rights" of medication administration.
  • Order Management & Coordination:
    Accurately transcribe and process new physicians' orders (including MARs/TARs), immediately notifying the pharmacy and interdisciplinary team of changes to prevent care gaps.
  • Accurate Documentation & EHR:
    Maintain meticulous, comprehensive, and real-time documentation of resident status, care interventions, and any changes in condition within the electronic health record (EHR), upholding high standards of regulatory compliance.
  • Supervision & Mentorship:
    Provide effective clinical guidance, supervision, and mentorship to CNAs and LPNs on your assigned unit, ensuring tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the highest standards of care.
  • Proactive Emergency Response:
    Serve as the clinical first responder during emergencies, providing immediate, life‑saving care and efficiently initiating and documenting all appropriate protocols.
  • Interdepartmental

    Collaboration:

    Act as a critical liaison, fulfilling all duties assigned by the Director of Nursing (DON) and collaborating seamlessly with all departments (e.g., dietary, rehab) to achieve optimal resident outcomes and smooth operational flow.
Qualifications
  • License:
    Must hold an Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin in good standing.

  • Skills:

    Demonstrated strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, organizational, and exceptional communication skills.
