Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
Providing Hands‑On Care

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you are the heart of our care team, crucial in providing direct, hands‑on support and maintaining the well‑being of our residents.

  • Holistic Direct Care:
    Perform all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including providing respectful and thorough assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and facilitating mealtimes and safe feeding.
  • Mobility & Comfort:
    Safely and skillfully assist residents with ambulating, transferring, turning, and positioning to enhance comfort, promote mobility, and diligently prevent skin breakdown.
  • Safety & Observation:
    Continuously observe and report any subtle changes in resident physical, mental, or emotional status to the charge nurse promptly, acting as the primary advocate for resident safety.
  • Environmental Support:
    Maintain clean, sanitary, orderly, and comfortable living conditions within the residents' rooms and common areas, ensuring a therapeutic environment.
  • Accurate Documentation:
    Ensure all necessary care reports and electronic records are completed accurately and in a timely manner following established procedures.
  • Compliance & Teamwork:
    Perform all duties in strict accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines, facility policies, and work effectively under the direction of the nursing leadership (Unit Manager, DON, Administrator) to deliver seamless, high‑quality care.
Qualifications
  • License:
    Must possess an Active Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
  • Education:

    High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently while being an engaged and effective part of a multidisciplinary care team.
    • Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes.
  • Experience:

    Previous long‑term care experience is preferred but not required. We welcome dedicated individuals looking to start or advance their career in geriatrics!
