Billing Specialist

• Perform standard billing functions of the firm including:
  • Review project agreements and establish billing terms to accurately invoice client.
  • Identify, establish, and apply project specific billing rates per agreement.
  • Utilize Electronic Invoicing program to review billable labor and expense charged to projects.
  • Identify and resolve concerns to ensure accurate client invoicing.
  • Produce/update client payment forms including MnDOT exhibits, progress reports, pay claims etc.
  • Submit invoices through client specified online portals.
• Maintain the electronic invoicing review process for assigned project manager group.
• Train newly assigned project managers on the electronic invoicing review process.
• Assist in creating new projects records in accounting system.
• Responsible for electronic filing related to projects and billing.
• Provide accurate and timely billing support to clients of Bolton & Menk as well as our team members.

• Associate degree in accounting or closely related field
• Four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with various bill rate methods including fixed hourly rates, hourly cost plus and lump sum
• DOT, County, government agency invoicing experience preferred
• Experience working for a professional services firm preferred
• Experience with Deltek or Deltek Vantagepoint software preferred

Salary Range: $52,000 - $72,000 depending on years of experience and credentials
