Payroll Specialist

Mankato Area Public Schools has a position available as Payroll Specialist beginning as soon as possible. This position performs the payroll functions of the school district.

• Performing the payroll functions of the school district.
• Processing payrolls using the systems/applications used within the district (i.e., SMART-HR).

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years previous bookkeeping and payroll experience, preferably in school or other public agency payroll accounting.
• Ability to efficiently use office equipment and typical productivity software, databases or customized systems/applications used within the district for processing payrolls (i.e., SMART-HR).
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of Minnesota School Accounting System desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

• Rate of pay: $62,830 - $66,950.
