Mechanical Project Engineer

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will work on a variety of projects—from skyscrapers to small tenant improvements, utilities, water/wastewater facilities, grocery stores, retail spaces, laboratories, and educational facilities. Your responsibilities include managing project team activities, preparing and reviewing design documentation, collaborating with cross‑functional teams, and conducting field surveys and construction observations as needed.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer in MN
• Experience in commercial and/or industrial system design, piping, and HVAC
• Able to manage work activities and report project status to a supervisor
• Proficient in applicable design codes, standards, and specification requirements
• Interpret engineering deliverables and assist in their completion
• Willingness to travel for meetings, client consultations, field surveys, and construction observation

• 8+ years of related experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous project management experience

This role is based in St. Paul, Minnesota, with hybrid work arrangements. Candidates may also work remotely within Minnesota. Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $100,000 to $130,000, depending on skill set and experience. Additional benefits are provided in SEH’s full benefits package.
